TOO much TV
Hello everyone,
Today I would like to write about TV.
I heard that most kids spend most of their free time watching TV which is about 3 hours a day, 21 hrs. a week. So, in 9 months it would be 810 hours of TV .
If they watch TV in the summer for 5 hrs. a day -- then it would be 140 hrs. a month during the summer.
That is WAY WAY WAY too much TV especially since there is a lot of bad stuff on TV.
So, they need to be outside more often, riding bikes, playing with friends, or going to the library or meeting new friends, or serving others.
You can also bake, jump rope, swing, write a letter to a loved one, work in the yard, do crafts, walk dogs if there are any dogs in your neighborhood, learn a new talent etc.
On school days you can see how long you can do a handstand, run outside and get all your energy out, call someone and visit with them for a little bit, play with an animal, volunteer somewhere, rake leaves, etc.

This is my very first blog!
Hi, I'm Ashley and I'm 11 yrs. old and I'm homeschooled! I've done homeschool and public school and last year I had the best teacher ever -- Mr. H.
This year I'm homeschooling because my brother and sister started to so I decided that I guess I would. I really like it cause I have the best teacher on earth; my mommy.
Today we decided to start my new blog. I'm just learning how to type so it will take me some time to get faster. I'm nervous and excited 'cause I don't know how many people will look at it.
If you do look at it ---- I'm grateful.
Some of my favorite things in life are: doggies, kitties, froggies, and piggies! I love piggies. :) hee hee My favorite subject in homeschool right now is math. We use Saxon math and do some lessons every day. My mom is teaching us spanish because that's where she went on her mission. So.....hola amigos! Como estan?
